Marka is an award-winning writer, theater director, actress, and musician. In 1982, she founded a legendary, all-female underground rock band Zuby nehty, in which she performs until today. The author of more than ten books for children, Marka received the prestigious Czech literary award Magnesia Litera in 2022 and the Golden Ribbon award for best children’s literature. She is active in the non-profit organization Puppets in Hospital.
