The pediatrician Dr. Martin Gregora is the head of the Pediatrics at the Strakonice Hospital in Prague. In addition to his medical profession, Dr. Gregora has served as a member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic from 2010 to 2013 (TOP). Saturday April 17th from 11 to 12:30, Dr. Jiří Janák from the Czech Institute of Egyptology at Charles University will give a talk to Czech Café, about ancient Egypt. The talk will be in Czech and the target audience are the older students from the Czech School in Boston (12+), but everyone else is invited to attend. Students from the T.G. Masaryk school in Boston, under the guidance of Klara Velicka and thanks to the generosity of Eva Paddock, have had a unique opportunity to participate in an oral history project Stories of Our Neighbors, under the umbrella of the Prague based non-profit organization Post Bellum. The students will present their work based on their interview with Eva Paddock, about her journey on a train of Sir Nicholas Winton from the occupied Prague to London, and her life in the UK and US.
